Riddle centres around a small town which seems friendly enough on the surface, but when you dig a little deeper a lot of secrets and painful memories have been hidden away. The main character Kort has had a traumatic childhood and seems to attract trouble - which lands him in jail for a crime which he did not commit - even though most of the community believe that he did. He returns to Riddle, wanting to start all over again but the odds seem to be against him. Fortunately he has a good friend named Norma. Then Grace arrives in town and as an outsider, she notices things and sets everyone and everything on edge. Including Norma. There are so many interesting characters and strands to Elizabeth Horton-Newton's story, that I don't want to say too much or give anything away. Suffice it to say, it's a page turner and highly recommended!
